Managing Who Can Invite You

Main Court gives you full control over who can invite you to matches. If you prefer a more curated experience — where you only receive invites from people you know — you can enable the “Receive Invites from Friends Only” setting.

This setting is perfect for players who want to avoid unsolicited invites and focus on matches with trusted contacts.

✅ How to Enable "Receive Invites from Friends Only"

To activate this feature:

  1. Tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the app
  2. Scroll to Settings
  3. Tap Notifications
  4. Find and toggle at the bottom "Receive invites from friends only" to ON

Once enabled, you will only receive invites from players who are on your Friends list.

💡 What Happens When It's Enabled?

  • You will not receive invites to matches from players you are not connected with.
  • You will still receive invites from players you’ve added as a friend.
  • You can continue to receive invites for tournaments, social events, or lessons — but only if you have opted into those types of invites in your settings.
  • Organizers who are not your friends will not see you as an invite option when setting up matches.

👥 Common Scenarios

🔒 Scenario 1: You want to stop random invites from people you don’t know.

Turn this setting ON. You’ll only hear from people you’ve chosen to connect with via a friend request.

🎯 Scenario 2: You want to manage who can invite you without completely disappearing from the community.

Keep the setting OFF but consider curating your connections. You’ll remain visible for invites, but you can still accept or decline as you choose.

🏓 Scenario 3: You’re a new player building your network.

We recommend keeping the setting OFF initially so you can discover more matches. Once you’ve built a strong Friends list, you can enable it for a more tailored experience.

👋 Final Tip

Remember, you can always search the network, send friend requests, and join or create groups to grow your pickleball circle — even with this setting enabled.

Main Court is about helping you play more, with the people you trust. This feature helps keep your experience organized, personal, and enjoyable.
