Creating a match and sending invites in Main Court
To create a match, tap + at the bottom of Main Court and select Matches.
When creating a match in Main Court, you need to complete all the required match details. Here’s what each field means:
Number of Players
Please enter the total number of players participating in the match. This will ensure that all spots are accounted for when inviting players.
Are You Playing?
If you, as the organizer, are also participating in the match, toggle this switch. This will automatically include you as a player in the match.
Match Type
You can select the type of match you want to organize. Options include Singles, Doubles, Drilling, or Ladder.
Match types are for display purposes only and do not affect the match functionality.
Select Match Location
Choose the location where the match will take place. Use the dropdown menu to select an existing location. If the location isn’t listed, click “Add New Court” to input the details of a new court.
Select Date and Time
You can use the calendar to set the specific date and time for the match. This will ensure that all participants know when and where the match will occur.
Reoccurring Match
Toggle this switch if you want to make the match recurring. This feature automates creating future matches with the same setup and automatically invites any players you include in this match to all future occurrences. So, it effectively automates and fills your weekly matches without any extra effort.
Set Match to Open
Enable this setting to allow network players who meet the match's skill level range to see the match. You should always set your match to open if you need a fourth player or are open to meeting new players. Players can request to join the match, but you retain the ability to approve or decline these requests. This is a great way to connect with new players and ensure your match is filled.
Skill Level
If you set a skill level for the match and it is set to open, network players will receive a notification that a match has been created that meets their skill level.
- Use the slider to set a specific skill level.
Turn on “Skill Level Not Applicable” if you do not want to restrict players by skill level.
This ensures that players in the proper skill range see and join your match, enhancing competition and gameplay quality.
Have You Reserved a Court?
This is an informational field, as Main Court does not link with club booking systems. You'll need to book your courts before sending match invites. If you click yes to indicate you have reserved your courts, you can also add the court number to let your players know what has been booked. This helps ensure smooth coordination with participants.
Cost Per Player (Optional)
Enter the cost per player for participating in the match. This field is optional, but if filled, it will prompt players to pay through Main Court’s integrated payment system. For more information, see the payments help file.
Notes
You can use this space to include additional information about the match. These notes will be visible to invited players and include details such as special rules, equipment requirements, or other relevant information.
When you are ready, hit Next to proceed to the Invites area.
In the Invite area, you can search for individual players, select them, and then switch to searching for a group or network without losing your previous selections. You can also use the filter in the top-right corner to filter players by specific criteria such as skill level or location.
As you tick players or groups, your selections will hold and remain saved until you hit Next, allowing you to build your Invite List seamlessly across different categories of Friends, Groups, and the Network. This flexibility ensures you can easily compile the ideal list of participants for your match. Once finalized, hit next to proceed with sending the invites.
The final screen shows all the players and groups you selected to send invites. You can use the Reach Out Order ( See Reach Out Order Video for more info on how to use it) to send invites to players at different times and then hit Send Invites to send the invites.
Players will receive invites via push notifications and email when you hit Send. Invited players can accept or decline your invites; organizers will be notified when spots are filled. Organizers and players can see confirmed participants anytime in the Scheduled Match section.
Should you need to share your match on your phone using another method, you can click on the share button.
