How Opponent Feedback Works
Main Court's Opponent Feedback system enables players to provide input on their opponents' skill levels, fostering a supportive and connected pickleball community. This system directly impacts players' skill levels, helping them find matches, partners, and events that best suit their abilities.
Note: Feedback can only be given in a four-player match where players can truly give feedback after playing enough with another player.
Summary of Opponent Feedback:
After each match, players can confirm an opponent’s skill level, suggest an alternative skill level, or skip providing feedback. If players choose to skip, Main Court will not prompt them again to give feedback until they play another match with the same opponent.
When a match concludes, Main Court will display a message prompting you to give Opponent Feedback. This prompt will appear when you open the Main Court app until you complete the feedback request unless you choose to skip it. This ensures that feedback is collected only when relevant and helps maintain accurate and dynamic skill levels.
The feedback interface is simple and intuitive. You will see options to either confirm the opponent’s current skill level by selecting "Yes", suggest a new skill level with "No", or choose "Skip" if you prefer to provide feedback later.
Skill Level Calculation:
Skill levels are averaged after 10 feedback responses and updated to the nearest tenth.
Feedback is subject to a 30-day cooldown; players can only submit feedback 30 days after their last submission (if they've played a match in that time).
Only the most recent match is considered if multiple matches occur without feedback.
As a result of opponent feedback, skill levels can fluctuate over time. They may increase or decrease depending on the collective feedback, ensuring that skill levels remain dynamic and reflect a player's recent performance.
Anonymity:
All feedback is anonymous and not visible to the player being rated.
