How to cancel my spot in a match or event in Main Court
Main Court makes canceling your spot in a match or event as simple and convenient as reserving it. The process is consistent whether you cancel your spot in a match or an upcoming event, such as a tournament or social event.
Step 1: To cancel your spot, start by navigating to the "My Matches" section on your home page. This will display a list of all your upcoming matches.

Step 2: Locate the match you wish to cancel your spot for and select it to open the match details page.

Step 3: Once you are on the match details page, select the "Cancel My Spot" option.

Step 4: Upon doing so, you will receive an immediate confirmation that your reserved spot has been successfully canceled. Additionally, the organizer of the match will automatically receive a notification informing them of your cancellation. If you are the organizer of the match, you will be prompted to confirm your cancellation as a participant. This confirmation allows you to step back from participating while still maintaining your role as the organizer of the match.

Whether you are canceling as a player or as the organizer, you will receive a confirmation message at the bottom of the page, ensuring that your spot has been successfully canceled. This process is designed to be straightforward and efficient, allowing you to manage your commitments with ease.

Once you have cancelled you spot, the organizer will receive a push notification and an email regarding your cancelled spot. This informs the organizer that you will no longer be attending the event and therefore they become aware that there is an open spot for them to fill in their event.
Regarding Refunds for Cancelled Spots with Costs: To cancel your confirmed spot in a match or event and receive a refund, ensure you do so more than 24 hours before the event starts. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event are not eligible for a refund through Main Court. In such cases, you may request a refund directly from the event organizer, but approval is at their discretion, and Main Court cannot guarantee the outcome. Please note that refunds only cover the entry fee and do not include processing fees, which are non-refundable.
