How To Manage Notifications and Invites on Main Court
Main Court gives you full control over the notifications you receive—so you never miss the invites that matter, but you also don’t get overwhelmed by alerts you don’t want. You can easily customize what you receive, when, and from whom—all from your profile settings in the app.
To manage your Notifications and Invites on Main Court, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Tap your Profile in the bottom right of the app, go to Settings, then tap Notifications. This is where you’ll customize everything.
Step 2:
Understand the difference between Invites and Notifications (you can manage both of these)
- Invites are direct messages from organizers for matches, lessons, socials, or tournaments.
- Notifications are alerts on your phone or in-app to keep you informed.
Step 3:
If you turn off “Invitations for Matches” (or other events), organizers cannot invite you. You won’t show up as an option when organizers send invites.
Step 4:
When invites are on, they appear in your Invites tab, your email, and in your Open Matches list, where you can accept or decline.
- Declining removes you from the invite list.
- Ignoring leaves the door open for the organizer to try again.
Step 5:
Push Notifications are your phone’s lock screen or banner alerts.
Make sure you enable them in both your phone’s settings and in the Main Court app.
We recommend setting them to Persistent, so they don’t get replaced by other notifications.
Step 6:
You can limit invites to Friends Only by turning on that setting.
- Great for reducing noise
- Limits your chances of meeting new players
Step 7:
You can choose to get alerts when new matches go live near you, filtered by court location and/or skill level. Turn it on to stay in the loop or off to limit notifications.
Step 8:
Need a break? Use the Snooze Notifications toggle to temporarily pause all alerts. You can turn them back on anytime.
Step 9:
Don’t forget to hit Save after adjusting your settings to make sure your changes stick.
